Ian Dawson
Bowling Green artist Ian Dawson lived in Toledo and then in Fremont, Ohio until he returned to Bowling Green and called it home in 2022. Ian started his artist journey after he became active in AA in 2011. He started blacksmithing in 2012 out of the Toledo Museum of Art, has worked under Hans Rubel learning the art of metalwork, and installed sculptures at his job at the Garrison in Fremont. He started taking glass workshops in March 2022 in Toledo at Gathered Glass, Firenation, and the TMA. In August of 2022, he started at BGSU and took off in his adventure in glass. In December 2022, he started blowing glass out of the TMA and is planning on continuing to take courses at BGSU as well as Pilchuck and Corning.
