Co-sponsored with the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department, Art in the Park is a family opportunity to enjoy visual and performing artists in the beautiful setting of Simpson Garden Park. Set on a Friday evening in June, this free event includes music, dance, plein air artists and special activities for kids.

Art in the Park was held on Friday, June 10, 2016 in Simpson Garden Park. Featuring painters, musicians, and theatrical performances, it was cosponsored by the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department and the Montessori School of Bowling Green. Biggby’s provided coffee and BGAC members baked cookies.
Children’s activities by Montessori staff and a hands-on creative project for adults were featured in the park building. Artist Gail Christofferson showed participants how to create geometric glass ‘quilt’ squares that will be displayed in the Community Center. Theater presentations included excerpts from Horizon Youth Theater and the Black Swamp Players.
