  • Election of officers
    • Officers moved by Jacqui to be elected by acclamation:
      • President – Robin Gerrow
      • VP – Lloyd Triggs
      • Treasurer – Dave Saneholtz
      • Secretary – Lindsay Durham
      • University Liason – Marilyn Shrude
    • Motion approved
  • Planning session for 2023-24
    • Discussion re planning for events for the coming year included:
      • a possible public art tour, utilizing an investor grant from the BG Chamber of Commerce to hire two students. Robin will write the grant, and Jacqui and Marilyn will assist.
      • The Childrens’ Art show is now planned for April in conjunction with Earth Day/eclipse.
      • Art Walk will be May 11, 2024 (Mother’s Day weekend). The Library is reserved.
      • Lloyd suggested several new possibilities:
        • A writers’ group
        • A workshop or makers’ group (e.g. KnitWits at Grounds)
        • Social events for artists
        • An artistic map/mural at the entrance of the Slippery Elm Trail (grant from City commission?)
        • Historic commission signs? Self-guided art tour? City will let us use platform from historic home tours.
      • Mary suggested
        • Studio tours
        • Monthly art drop -hide n seek art with posted clues
      • Storage space for easels, pedestals etc. – MECCA – Steve Green?
      • CSA – Pam Conlin?  Survey re continuation
      • Chocolate crawl
      • Visit BG events calendar listings
      • Pizza event with student groups
      • BG Park District team up
      • Weekly performance/reading/visual at Jerome Library
      • Arlyns events OK on Thursdays/Sundays
