Committee reports
Membership/Programming Committee (Robin Gerrow, Kari Lee Pierson, Lindsay Durham, Rachel Phipps, Jeff Dennis, Ellen Fure Smith, Megan Newlove)
The committee will develop and promote monthly arts/artists events
- January 28, 6pm: Evening with Deux Saisons at the Black Swamp Players Theater (Kari Lee)
- February 10: Ellen Fury Smith will present an artist talk,/time/location TBA
- March 25th, noon-3pm: Artists vs Hunger/Brown Bag Food Project, Simpson Garden Park.
- April: Ellen Smith will produce a children’s art show, date/time/location TBA
- May 20: BG Art Walk. Committee will be forming soon.
- June 3, 2pm: PorchFest
- June 10: Rainbow Rally. BGAC will sponsor kid’s crafts & face painting.
- June 17: Juneteenth Celebration – BGAC will work with Lindsay Dunham & BRAVE (Black, Rights, Activism, Visibility, & Equity) to sponsor kid’s crafts & face painting.
- Additional possibilities include Janet Ballweg (Jacqui to contact).
Old Business
- CSA: Robin proposed that BGAC self-fund this project. It would be implemented by the members of the Program Committee, and some artist members have already expressed interest. Questions raised concerning the value to the artists and financial risk to BGAC. Following discussion, Marilyn moved that we proceed to develop this project with a feasibility evaluation and final approval in April, based on the numbers of artists recruited and shares sold. / Dave 2 /

- Membership: more artists have joined, including Ann Beck and Louis Staeble.
- 50+ Shades of Grey Senior Art Show at Wood County Senior Center: Jacqui will work with Charlie Harper to plan. WCCOA will be installing picture rails to accommodate – details at BGAC March meeting.
- Art in the Park: Jacqui will contact Ivan
New Business
- Artists Against Hunger event
March 25th, noon-3pm: Artists vs Hunger/Brown Bag Food Project – BGAC will help sponsor (amount?). Simpson Garden Park. Jacqui 1 / Flannery 2 / approved. - Artwalk will be on May 20th
- Community Art Show – postponed per venue recruitment (Lloyd)
- Owens photography student Christie-Ann Lewis would like to intern with BGAC to document events. Marilyn moved to accept / Fannery 2 / motion carries.
